Ladybug Tools is a collection of free computer applications that support environmental design. Ladybug Tools connects 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) interfaces to a selection of validated simulation engines. The 3-day course is taught by the cofounders of Dosta Tec, Adrian Krężlik and Mateo Barbero. It introduces Ladybug tools and the fundamentals of building energy performance, thermal comfort and daylight modelling to architects and engineers.
Participants will learn about both theory and practice of energy modelling concepts. Parametric models in Grasshopper will be developed to simulate energy intensity, indoor thermal comfort, daylight autonomy, and lastly, to adjust rural climate models to urban valley conditions.
